Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester police have issued an alert concerning a potentially dangerous dog on the loose in Northwest Rochester.

A news release says a female pit bull named "Pitty" ran off in the area of the 1600 block of 18th Avenue Northwest a few weeks ago. The dog, which has tan fur with a white chest, was not wearing a collar and is not microchipped.

Rochester police note the pit bull was in the process of being declared potentially dangerous. If anyone has information about its whereabouts or spots "Pitty" on the loose, they are asked to contact the police department at 328-6800 and reference case number 2020-19049.
