Illinois Shoppers: CVS Recalls Sandwiches & Snacks Over Listeria Risk
If you've recently grabbed a quick snack or sandwich from CVS, you might want to check your fridge as soon as possible.
CVS has recalled a number of food products due to a potential listeria contamination, undeclared allergens, and other health concerns.

The products that are being recalled date back to being sold as early as April 2025. A CVS source told news outlets that they worked closely with the FDA to conduct 350-day tests on all products.
"In addition, we have a robust product testing program and conduct an average of 350 tests a day to help ensure the safety, efficacy, performance, and compliance of our store brand products." [CVS source]

Listeria can be incredibly dangerous, especially for expecting mothers, elderly people, and anyone with a compromised immune system. If you bought any pre-made food items from CVS lately—specifically sandwiches or snacks—take a hard look at the packaging. See anything funky? Toss it. Don't use it. CVS is warning customers to discontinue use of the affected products.
