Every summer, without fail, I always say I'll get around to doing a bunch of local stuff with friends and family, but end up never doing them.  So, let's speak them into existence.

Living in Rockford my entire life, you'd expect me to have done pretty much everything in the tourist itinerary.  Well, that's far from the truth.  I'm actually slowly starting to check them off my Rockford bucket list the older I get!

The energy, the food, the sportsmanship, the fans.. I always want to go! But somehow, I blink and the season is over.

As much as I love hiking at going to Rock Cut, I never end up in the water.  I talk about how much I want to kayak or canoe, but I never end up renting one.

Take a walk through Anderson Japanese Gardens

The photos are beautiful.  The garden is stunning.  It seems so peaceful.  I wouldn't really know because I have yet to take a stroll myself.  Even as a kid, I don't remember a time my parents even took me!

Go to Nicholas Conservatory for Food Truck Tuesdays

Living in downtown Rockford, you'd think I'd be at Sinnissippi every Tuesday.  The idea sounds great, but my couch always has other plans for me.  One day this summer, I'll get around to tasting every food truck.  Maybe.

Finally riding the Trolley at Nicholas Conservatory

I tell everyone I know that they should ride the free trolley... yet I've done it one time in the last few years.  Classic me.  This year is the year I hop on.
