New and Unique Book Shop Opens in Downtown Rochester

There's a new business to welcome to downtown Rochester, MN! If you're a book lover and are interested in unique and rare items, this place is definitely for you.

They've been an online and fair/market shop until now. It's called Diatom Books, and you can find them downtown off of Broadway.

This definitely is not like other used book stores. They focus what they buy and sell on science, technology, and society. They write a bit more about that on their website:

If you have older (but well-cared-for) books that you think Diatom Books would be interested in, they do buy books to resell. Like I mentioned earlier, though, they focus on the topics of science, technology, and society as a whole.

If you're interested in selling something to Lucy (the owner), their website mentions that sending pictures is a good place to start.

They officially opened for business in mid-December. Their address is 321 S Broadway, right by Cafe Steam. You need to go down the alley, though, to find their entrance. They say to look for the green cones.
