Hormel Foods is hosting a free concert in downtown Austin, Minnesota as a thank you to the community where it has been based since 1891. Katie Clark, senior vice president and chief communications officer for the company said they are excited to bring three amazing performers to Austin for a night of great music.   • WHAT: Hometown Celebration Concert in Downtown Austin
  • WHEN: 5–9 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12
  • WHERE: On Main Street, right outside the world-famous SPAM Museum in downtown Austin, Minnesota.

This concert marks the second time in three years that Hormel has organized a free, family-friendly event in downtown Austin.

The forecast looks perfect for a night outdoors with friends and family. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring chairs to sit in during the performances. In addition to the live music, there will be food trucks and local businesses open to provide food and drinks for attendees.

Grammy-Nominated Band to Headline Free Concert in Austin, Minnesota

The concert will kick off at 5:00 pm with Los Rebeldes, a Mexican-American group from southern Minnesota, who will perform a mix of musical styles including Tex-Mex, folk, and country-rock. Following them, Martin Zellar, a longtime Minnesotan and Austin native, will take the stage.

The Plain White T's, best known for their Grammy-nominated song 'Hey There Delilah" will headline the event.
