I don't often get a fried chicken sandwich at a restaurant, partially because I'm afraid I'll be disappointed by a dry chicken breast or bad toppings. But also partially because there are other things on the menu I'd like to try.

However, if I know you have a kick-a-- chicken sandwich, I will absolutely try it. So whenever I make it to this Minnesota restaurant, I will definitely be trying the sandwich that has been dubbed the best fried chicken sandwich in the state.

The Best Fried Chicken Sandwich in Minnesota

The place where you can find the best fried chicken sandwich in Minnesota is at a Minneapolis restaurant called Northbound Smokehouse and Brewpub.

The Food Network is behind this list of the best fried chicken sandwiches in the country. They write that Northbound's Northern Fried Chicken Sandwich is "one of the few items ... that doesn't come out of the smoker".

It looks delicious! The Food Network describes the Northern Fried Chicken Sandwich like this:

"Seasoned panko batter creates a dense, crunchy crust on the deep-fried breast, which gets balanced out with dill pickles, lettuce, tomato and a sweet and savory roasted-garlic mayo on a toasted egg bun."

That sounds so good! Hopefully I'm able to get to Northbound soon to give this a try because now I'm hungry.

All 37 Minnesota Restaurants that Have Been Featured on the Food Network

Many Minnesota restaurants have been featured on the Food Network over the years. Some have closed now, but I checked out the Food Networks website, the Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives website, and TVFoodMaps.com to find all of the Minnesota restaurants that have been featured on their channel in the past and found these 37 (in no particular order) that are still open.
