NFL Officially Moves Vikings vs. Rams Game Due to Fires

We have all seen the devastation the wildfires have be causing this week in southern California. Absolutely apocalyptic.

Due to the ongoing fires and horrible air quality, the National Football League has made the decision to move the Monday night wildcard game between the Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Rams from Sofi Stadium in L.A., to State Farm Stadium in Glendale Arizona. State Farm Stadium is the home of the Arizona Cardinals.

The statement from the NFL says,

In the interest of public safety, Monday's Vikings-Rams Wild Card game has been moved from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA to State Farm Stadium, the home of the Arizona Cardinals. The decision was made in consultation with public officials, the participating clubs and the NFL Players' Association.

Minnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell, who used to be an assistant coach for the Rams commented,

Just wanted to express my and our organizational sadness for those affected by the devastating fires in Los Angeles. You feel helpless watching it from here and you know how many people are being impacted.

Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay added,

Obviously, our thoughts and prayers are with everybody that's been affected by these fires," McVay said at the time. "It's one of those deals that almost doesn't feel real, but it certainly is real to the people that are affected.

The kickoff time for Monday night's game remains unchanged, starting at 7:00 pm CT, and will be televised on ABC and ESPN.

Tickets for the game will go on sale at 12:00 pm CT today through Seatgeek.com for Rams season ticket holders, and then for the general public at 2:00 pm CT.
