The criminal complaint, filed in Olmsted County Court on Tuesday, says dispatch received a 911 call reporting a stabbing shortly after 2:30 a.m. from the victim. The call came from an unspecified apartment complex in southeast Rochester.
Responding Rochester police officers established a perimeter around the apartment upon their arrival.

The victim then emerged from the residence and officers saw her suffering from multiple wounds to her abdomen and a laceration on her leg, the complaint says.
Police entered the apartment where they found and arrested the suspect, identified as 35-year-old Lashenda Lanise Dillard. The charges say the Rochester woman’s pants were covered in blood and that blood was spotted across the home.
Investigators then executed a search warrant at the residence and found a meat fork that had blood residue on it, a steak knife that still had blood on it and bloody articles of clothing, the charges say.
Dillard told officers she had been drinking and had gotten into a verbal argument with the victim but said the woman was not injured in the residence.
The charges say officers briefly spoke with the victim while she was in the ambulance. She became strained and appeared to be in significant pain.
First responders rushed the victim to a hospital. She was taken into surgery for treatment of multiple stab wounds and lacerations, the charges say. An update on her condition is not available.
Dillard is charged with felony second-degree assault and misdemeanor domestic assault. She’s being held on $5,000 conditional bail and is due back in court next week.
