Stewartville, MN (KROC-AM News) - A southeastern Minnesota woman who was injured in a freak traffic mishap in April has died.

The Minnesota State Patrol previously reported that 36-year-old Casandra Danielle Faulhaber suffered non-life-threatening injuries when an object fell from a semi-truck, pierced her vehicle’s windshield, and struck her. The incident occurred the afternoon of April 25 on Highway 63, just south of Stewartville.

Faulhaber, who was from LeRoy, was transported by Grand Meadow Ambulance to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester for treatment. The State Patrol has since updated its report to reflect that she died as a result of the injuries she sustained in the crash.

Her passenger, 35-year-old Jared Faulhaber of Le Roy, was not injured.

According to the State Patrol, the driver of the semi-truck appeared to be unaware that the object had come off the vehicle and continued traveling northbound on Highway 63. As of the original report, investigators had not identified or located the truck driver.
