Fire Damages Multiple Garages at Rochester Apartment Complex
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- Rochester Firefighters fought a garage fire at an apartment complex Tuesday night.

A news release issued by the Rochester Fire Department says crews responded to the fire call around 9:35 p.m.
Five engines were among the resources deployed to the blaze. Responding firefighters found two garage units had caught on fire.
Pair of Garages Catch Fire at Winchester Apartment Homes in Northwest Rochester
The fire occurred at the Winchester Apartment Homes at 3908 19th Ave NW. Firefighters deployed hose lines to knock down the flames. Crews then used a saw to cut open the garage doors to enter the structure.
The news release says firefighters pulled off ceiling material to ensure the flames had not spread from the two units that had already caught on fire. No civilian or first responder injuries were reported.
A damage estimate is not yet available. The Rochester Fire Department Fire Marshal’s Division also responded to the scene to conduct an investigation.
The news release does not list a cause for the fire but does remind the community to avoid plugging in multiple tool chargers at the same time.
The Rochester Police Department and Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service also responded to the scene.
