One Person Transported by Ambulance After Rochester House Fire
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - One person was transported by Mayo Clinic Ambulance for medical treatment following a house fire in Rochester this morning.
The Rochester Fire Department says it received a report of a structure fire just before 10:30 AM. The report indicated one person was in the basement of the home in the 3600 block of 48th Street Southwest.
A news release indicates the fire had been extinguished by the time firefighters arrived at the scene. It says they quickly located the victim and began lifesaving measures while the next fire crew to arrive searched the home to make sure there were no other victims.
The fire department reported there was minimal fire damage to the contents of the basement and light smoke damage throughout the home. The news release does not state if the cause of the fire has been determined.
Information concerning the extent of the victim’s injuries is also not available.
