
Serious Injuries Reported in Pine Island Motorcycle Wreck
Pine Island, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Pine Island Fire Department responded to a serious injury motorcycle crash Monday evening.
A statement issued by the department says the crash was reported around 5:50 PM in the 500 block of 5th Street Southwest in Pine Island. Responding crews arrived at the scene and found the motorcyclist suffering from serious injuries, and the Mayo One helicopter was requested.
Mayo One Requested but Victim Taken by Ambulance
The Pine Island Fire Department reported that bystanders were assisting the crash victim before fire department personnel stabilized the motorcyclist and a Zumbrota Area Ambulance crew arrived. Despite the request for the medical helicopter, the victim was transported to the hospital by ambulance.

The name of the motorcyclist and information about their current medical condition have not been released.
State Patrol, Sheriff’s Office Assist at Scene
The news release says the Minnesota State Patrol and the Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the crash.
