
Crash Between Semi and Pick-up in I-90 Construction Zone in Austin Sends Motorist to the Hospital
The semi and pick-up were both westbound when they collided
Austin, MN (KROC-AM News)- A crash between a pick-up truck and semi in a work zone along Interstate 90 sent a motorist to the hospital Thursday afternoon.

Both drivers were the only occupants of the two vehicles involved in the crash. The State Patrol responded to the crash in Mower County shortly before 1p.m.

Crash Between Pick-up and Semi on I-90 in Austin Construction Zone Sends Driver to the Hospital
The crash occurred at the 4th St. Northwest interchange on I-90 in Austin. The semi and pick-up were both westbound when they collided, the state crash report says.
62-year-old Michael William Kiesler of Wasca was driving the pick-up. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was brought to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester for further care, according to the State Patrol.
The truck driver, 59-year-old James Arthur Ward of Roland, Ia, escaped the crash without injuries, the State Patrol says.
Both motorists were wearing their seatbelts and alcohol was not involved in the crash, the state crash report indicates.
Mayo Clinic Ambulance, the Austin Police Department and Austin Fire Department also responded to the construction zone crash.
