Unbuckled Driver Killed in Crash on Twin Cities Highway
St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Minnesota man lost his life in a traffic crash on a Twin Cities highway Monday morning.

He was the only person involved in the single-vehicle fatality. The State Patrol responded to the crash shortly before 4:30 a.m.
The deadly crash occurred on Hwy. 61 in St. Paul near the highway’s intersection with Lower Afton Rd. Northbound Hwy. 61 into St. Paul was closed during the morning commute while crews processed the scene.
A pick-up traveling north went off the roadway, entered the center median then struck a tree, the state crash report says.
A 53-year-old man from Hastings was driving the pick-up. The State Patrol notes he was not buckled up.
Officials plan to release the man’s name and more information surrounding the deadly crash on Wednesday afternoon.
