From Power Out To Power On: Thank You Area Linemen
THANK YOU TO OUR LINEMEN
This past weekend, we were hammered with some pretty incredible storms. Over 3,000 folks lost electricity during the first round of storms and as always, our dedicated lineman were out restoring power to homes throughout the area.
STEARNS ELECTRIC ASSOCIATION
If you've ever wondered what it's like to be a lineman, we have to thank the Stearns Electric Association for sharing this unique video with us, as a lineman that's up in the air, shares what HIS view is like when he and his team are putting up a new pole after a storm goes through.
For some, this might be an exciting job opportunity. I'm assuming that you have to like working outdoors, enjoy outdoor challenges, and don't mind extreme heat or extremely cold conditions. Perhaps you're the kind of person who realizes how many people are counting on our linemen to help households get their power back. If you like being a superhero, possibly without a lot of recognition, this might be a career you'd be interested in.
PICTURES FROM ABOVE
Of course, if you're like me, and just a tad fearful of heights, this might not be the job for you. I can't imagine what kind of hard work must go into being a lineman, but I'm hoping that this video and pictures below, give everyone just a little bit more appreciation for the work they do, and how much we count on our local superstars for getting us back up and going.
Thank you linemen!!!!!
