Minnesota is home to some large music festivals, and one of them just made a huge announcement about their future in the state.

Minnesotans love live music, that is made clear every time a large show or festival happens in the state, just look at this weekend, there are 4 HUGE stadium shows, all of which are essentially sold out.

The newest of the festivals is the Minnesota Yacht Club, the festival launched this year at St. Paul's Harriet Island Regional Park with acts like Gwen Stefani, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Alanis Morissette, and The Offspring.

An estimated 60,000 music fans came out over the two-day festival, and by all accounts it was a success. The biggest compliant I read was about the long lines for food and beverages, but that can easily be fixed going forward by event organizers.

The festival is operated by C3 Events, the company behind festivals like Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and Governors Ball, and they announced that the Minnesota Yacht Club will return for another big weekend in 2025.

The 2025 version of the Minnesota Yacht Club will see an additional day added to the festival, next year the festival will happen on July 18th, 19th, and 20th. No artists have been announced yet, that won't happen for a while yet, but I'm sure they'll bring big names like this year.

In a statement to the Pioneer Press, the event promoter Tim Sweetwood said, "We were very happy with the inaugural festival this year. Our team has continued to work closely with St. Paul city officials and collectively determined expanding into a third day made a lot of sense."
