Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Department still has not released much information about the suspicious death of a man whose body was discovered early this morning in rural southeast Rochester.

At last report, officials had not yet identified the man or what caused his death. Sheriff Kevin Torgerson earlier indicated some trauma was evident on the body, which was found lying in the middle of the road on a section of 45th Street Southeast about halfway between County Road 1 and the Shoppes on Maine complex along South Broadway. A passerby alerted the Sheriff’s Department after spotting the body around 3:45 AM.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the Southern Minnesota Medical Examiner’s Office are assisting with the investigation.
