You’ll Want to Know These Deadlines So Your Holiday Packages Arrive On Time
People all across the country have already begun their holiday shopping, mostly to combat any shipping delay or the supply chain crisis. That is why the USPS, UPS, and FedEx have released their holiday shipping deadlines for 2021.
So, if you are like me and run last minute and fail to plan ahead when it comes to holiday shopping, you'll want to keep these dates handy so you know what services may work best for you to get your gifts delivered in time for the holidays.
Shipping Deadlines For USPS
The USPS has set a deadline for December 15 for ground service, December 17 for first-class mail service, December 18 for priority mail service, and December 23 for priority mail express service in the contiguous 48 states to make sure your packages arrive by December 25. These are the same deadlines as 2020.
If you plan on shipping through UPS and want your packages to deliver by December 24, you can ship the packages through UPS through select express services between December 21 and December 23. There is no specific date for the deadline for their regular UPS Ground Shipping, but the dates can be found using the UPS shipping calculator.
Shipping Deadlines For FedEx
FedEx's deadline is December 9 for domestic ground economy shipping and December 15 for domestic ground shipping. FedEx said that packages can be shipped through different express services between December 21 and 24 to arrive on December 25.
Of course, as the holiday season gets into full gear, there can be shipping delays and supply chain issues that can change those dates.
According to Forbes, there is expected to be a 10% increase in money spent online between November and December of this year. That is the largest amount ever and is expected to be around $207 billion.
