Today is Ricky Skaggs birthday. Ricky was born in 1954 in Cordell, Kentucky. A member of the Grand Ole Opry, Ricky was named Country Music Association's Entertainer of the Year in 1985.
"Dang Me" was Roger Miller's first #1 Billboard country single. The year 1964.
In 1986 after working with them for 28 years, Columbia Records dropped Johnny Cash's contract. They didn't notify Johnny; he found out by reading it in the newspaper.
And in 2008, Garth Brooks joined headliner Billy Joel on stage at Shea Stadium; the duo sang "Shameless".
