Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Minnesota State Patrol has released the name of the Minneapolis woman who was struck by a semi-truck on Highway 52 in northwest Rochester yesterday afternoon. Officials reported that 49-year-old Leslie Goodale was hit by the truck in the southbound lanes of the highway near the 55th street interchange when she exited a vehicle that had stopped along the right shoulder and ran into traffic.

She was rushed to St. Marys Hospital with what were described as life-threatening injuries, but a Mayo Clinic spokesperson says Goodale is listed in good condition this morning. The 69-year-old Rochester man driving the truck was not hurt.

The 1:30 pm crash snarled traffic heading into Rochester on Highway 52 for almost two hours while the State Patrol was conducting its investigation, which includes seeking an answer to the question of why Goodale ran into the traffic lanes.
