With tough weather conditions throughout Southeast Minnesota, some area communities and services have been closed.

There is no SEMCAC Meals on Wheels today, the Tenborg Center in Rushford is closed and the Fillmore County DAC is closed. Almost all schools in Southeast Minnesota are closed.

The roads are bad, so be sure to use extreme caution when you are travelling. Here is the latest update from the National Weather Service:

"Snow will continue to fall across southeast Minnesota into west-central Wisconsin this morning, mainly along and north of Interstate 90. The snow will be heavy at times, with rates greater than 1 inch per hour possible. Roads will quickly become snow-covered and slippery. Expect visibility reductions below 1/2 mile. Those traveling this morning should be prepared for hazardous driving conditions. Consider delaying travel if possible."

Some areas of Southeast Minnesota will get some mix precipitation throughout the day, and then snow into tonight. While areas closer to Rochester will see 6-10 inches of snow.

The road conditions are not good, be careful and take your time on your commute or if you must travel at all!
