An investigation is ongoing on the cause of the fire that burned down a vacant house in Spring Valley.

Witnesses in the neighborhood relayed information to the Fillmore County Sheriff's Office that two younger juvenile aged individuals had been seen around the house shortly before the fire was noticed, according to a release from the Fillmore County Sheriff's Office. One male and one female.

The State Fire Marshal is conducting the investigation, along with the Fillmore County Sheriff's Office.

The Fillmore County Sheriff's Office received multiple calls reporting the house fire at the corner of Courtland St. and Huron Ave. When emergency units arrived at the scene, the house was completely engulfed in flames.

No one was believed to be inside of the home that has been vacant for some time.
