Another in a long line of changes for a hotel in SW Rochester. I was driving by the Kahler Apache Hotel and immediately noticed the sign had a huge blank space on it where the word Kahler was (See artists conception on the left).

Why the big blank? I stepped inside and talked to a desk-clerk (who preferred I not use her name) and they told me the hotel changed names because it's under new ownership. The new name is Apache Hotel. There have been no staff reductions, and that's about all I can find out for now.

The hotel was built in 1977 as Midway Motor Lodge and has been thru a few name changes since then. Best Western, Ramada Inn, Kahler Apache, and now just Apache Hotel. It has a pretty impressive footprint...
