The Star Tribune reports that the Minnesota Senate voted to legalize Sunday liquor store sales, apart of this tweet:

Governor Mark Dayton has already said previously that he would sign the bill into law if it passed the Senate, so we can expect that to happen rather quickly. This bill passed the house fairly easily, and frankly was defeated easily in the past couple years.

Minnesotans will no longer have to cross the boarder to stock up on their alcohol, which seems pretty nice to me. You can read the full report from the Star Tribune right HERE.

Honestly, I am not sure why this was still a law in the first place. If you allow people to drink at a bar/restaurant on a Sunday, why wouldn't you let them buy the alcohol and drive home without drinking it? It seems so obvious to me.

It doesn't make sense to me, but oh well. It has passed, and we should be able to go to the local liquor store and get whatever we need. Of course, liquor stores do not have to be open on Sundays, they are more than welcomed to keep their doors closed on a Sunday, which is the way it should be.
