Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News) - Rochesterfest moves into high gear Monday.

Food vendors open for the week at Soldiers Field Park with 29 choices being offered this year. Once again, free trolley rides are being offered to downtown workers from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. The continuous service will run between the Marriott Hotel along 1st Ave SW and Soldiers Field Park.  Also on Monday, rides will be offered for those at the St. Marys Hospital campus.

Monday’s entertainment schedule includes a video game tournament, ice cream social with music by Six Mile Grove (4 - 7 p.m.) and Teen Night (7-10 p.m.)

A reminder about the popular Rochesterfest Grand Parade. For the first time ever, it will be held on a Saturday this year - and earlier in the day.  It had always been held on a Friday evening but not this year. It will be held in the same area near Soldiers Field Park as it was last year but the parade has been moved to the afternoon, not evening.  In the past, the parade began at 6 p.m. This year, it has a scheduled start time of 2 p.m.
