A John Marshall grad recently appeared on Wheel of Fortune. The game show had a college theme, during the first week of April, and Roya Bashier was a contestant representing Stanford. She had a blast and ended up winning a lot of money.

Roya told the Post Bulletin the game is much harder than it looks: "Now that I’ve been on the show, I see how easy it is to get flustered and feel the time pressure. It’s much different than guessing puzzles in the comfort of your own home, with zero potential for embarrassment!" Bashier ended up winning over $15,000 and hopes to use the money to travel a little after she finishes up school and for moving expenses.
