St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency has expanded an Air Pollution Health Alert to include much of southern Minnesota, including the Rochester area.

The agency earlier issued an alert for the northern two-thirds of the state after the smoke from forest fires burning in Canada continued to waft south across the border. That mass of smoky air has since pushed further south and fine particulate levels are predicted to be unhealthy in this region into Tuesday.
