Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News) - Two rural Olmsted County property owners were ticketed for unlawful burning over the weekend after their brush fires got out of control.

Both were reported Saturday afternoon on opposite ends of the county.

The first one was reported at a site along 95th Ave NW. The Pine Island Fire Dept. had to be called to take care of that blaze. The other site was along 55th Ave NE. That blaze was put out by the Eyota Fire Dept.

The property owners were ticketed after admitting they did not have required permits.
