A Preston man brought home a $750 check after winning the 10th place award in the 2017 Minnesota Sheriff's Association Cash Raffle.

Kiel Anderson was the 10th place winner for 2017, according to the Fillmore County Sheriff's Office. The MSA holds a raffle that is held in conjunction with their summer conference. Each of the 87 Minnesota Sheriffs are distributed raffle tickets to sell for the event, which is a fundraiser to help put on training courses for the Minnesota Sheriffs and their staff.

Some of the training included are dispatch, jail, court security, data practices, gun laws, civil process, supervisory training and much more.

Fillmore County Sheriff Tom Kaase was pretty pumped that Anderson won the prize.

"It's great to see Kiel, a friend and citizen of our Fillmore County, be the lucky recipient of this $750 cash prize!" Kaase said.

Congrats to Anderson and the MSA on conducting a great raffle to help support and train local law enforcement.
