One item in President Trump's budget plan that is getting a lot of attention is the call to replace food stamp benefits with food boxes. The White House says this would save close to $130 Billion dollars in the next decade alone, offer more nutritious food and lower the chance for fraud.

Fortune.com explains: The proposal, called “America’s Harvest Box,” would reportedly contain “homegrown” products, sourced from American farmers and producers. Shelf-stable milk, juice, grains, cereals, pasta, peanut butter, beans, canned meat, poultry or fish, canned fruit and vegetables are among the items that would be included in the box. Opponents of the plan say distribution of the boxes could be a nightmare and families should have the option to choose what they eat each month.
