It's the most wonderful time of the year, and now even classic Minnesota icon, Paul Bunyan, is getting into the holiday spirit at the Mall of America.

According to this GO-MN story and a post on the Mall of America's web page, the big lumberjack, who stands tall at the iconic Log Chute ride, is now festively attired for the holidays with a big Santa hat-- and an ugly Christmas sweater-- for the very first time.

The Log Chute dates back 25 years-- to 1992, when MOA first opened and it was a part of Camp Snoopy (Anyone else miss Camp Snoopy too?!?). Now, though, the story says, for the first time, the Log Chute has been transformed for the holidays into something called the Yule Log Chute, and features "holiday spirit around every turn and drop," with fake snow, evergreens, and "stockings hung with care." It'll stay decorated that way through January 1st.

And that Christmas sweater Paul's rocking? The story says it was created by Minnesota native and Project Runway designer, Christopher Straub. And just what size does Mr. Bunyan wear? Well, let's just say he'd probably have to shop at one of MOA's Big and Tall shops, because his holiday sweater is huge, too.

MOA says Paul's sweater "weighs 30 pounds, has sleeves that are 108 inches long, and a neck that's 90 inches around," the story said!
