Parking Lot Bowling? Why Not!

A year ago if you had asked B&B Bowl owners, Shelly and Paul Hanson, "will you ever have bowling in your parking lot", they would have thought you were crazy!  Not so crazy after all!

Four years ago, Shelly and Paul's family started a tradition of holding a bowling party at B&B Bowl in Preston.   This year the party was scheduled for January 31.  It looked like the party would be cancelled due to a fire that destroyed the bowling center on New Year's Day.  But the Hanson's couldn't be stopped!  No lanes?  That didn't matter to them - the party would go on as planned!  Paul's niece, Trica Katzenberger, took the bull by the horns and organized B&B's first parking lot bowling party as a fundraiser for B&B's rebuilding fund!  There was lip smackin' good food, beer, pop, live music with Paul's nephew, D J Digger, and of course, bowling!  Yes, bowling outside in the parking lot!  Friends, neighbors, relatives, and customers joined the fun.  Some drove, some walked, some came in on Harley's and snowmobiles!  The weather was perfect.  Memories were shared and new memories made.  There were plenty of laughs and, of course, tears were shed.  At the end of the festivities, Shelly thanked everyone in her family and the community who came out, donated food and beverages, gave monetary donations, and made the fundraiser an overwhelming success.
