With a low unemployment rate and economic stability, Minnesota has a lot to offer anyone looking to join the state's workforce. But have you ever wondered which jobs in Minnesota pay the most? A recent study by the career search website Zippia looked at data from The Bureau of Labor Statistics to compile a list of the top 100 highest paying jobs in Minnesota.

The list is certainly good news for Rochester's economy, as several medical-related occupations are on it. The job categories of physicians and surgeons, internists, obstetricians and gynecologists, psychiatrists, and pediatricians took the top five spots in the study. And the average salary of each of those five jobs is more than $200,000.

In total, 10 of the top 11 careers on the list are in the medical field, with chief executives the only non-medical position, coming in at number eight. The average salary for each of the jobs in the top 49 was listed at $100,000+ annually, with physicians and surgeons averaging the highest annual salary at $239,130.

This information could certainly come in handy for anyone contemplating a job change or younger people in school considering which career to pursue.
