Minneapolis, MN (KROC-AM News) - A northern Minnesota man was sentenced Wednesday to 20 years in prison for a child pornography conviction. 36-year-old Kevin Petroske of Hibbing was found guilty of federal charges involving the production and possession of child pornography during a trial held last August.

The charges against Petroske were filed after he was arrested in the fall of 2015 by law enforcement officers investigating reports of someone “window peeping” in Hibbing. A later search warrant uncovered hundreds of child porn images and videos on his laptop computer. It was also determined that many of the videos were of young girls who had been secretly recorded on a video camera aimed through the windows of their homes by Petroske.

Prior to the federal case, Petroske had a felony stalking conviction in Stearns County and was the target of a child pornography investigation in Benton County.
