The Mabel-Canton Cougars have at tough match up on the road in the first round of the Section 1 9man quarterfinal, as they take on the 4-time defending state champions, Grand Meadow.

With the final game of the regular season being on a Wednesday, and MEA break directly following, it takes teams out of their routine and their comfort zone. The MSHSL has been doing this for what seems like forever, and a majority of teams and coaches have their own way of doing it.

Head coach Karl Urbaniak join me for Coaches Corner this past Saturday, and let us know how each team does it differently with the tough turn around.

Urbaniak also noted that practices at this time of year are mostly game planning for the upcoming game, and that the drills don't take as long. If this turnaround was earlier in the season, it would be much more difficult.

The Cougars are ready for the Superlarks, a team they were tied with in the 4th quarter when they faced each other back on Oct. 6th. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. on 103.1 KFIL!
