The Kingsland Knights used a 21-0 run in the middle of the first half to take a 72-47 win over the Southland Rebels in Southland on Cool 104.

The Knights used their size and inside game in the first half to really set the tone. The Rebels did not have an answer for Ian Meisner who dominated in the paint, finishing with an unofficial 22 points. The Knights featured him in their offense, running the offense through him which eventually opened up three-point opportunities for his teammates.

Tied at 7, the Knights went on a 21-0 run to take a commanding 28-7 lead.

The Southland Rebels got good play from Jared Landherr, who scored his 1,000th point in the first half on a layup, he finished with 16 points. The Rebels could not his outside shots against the 2-3 zone from Kingsland. The Rebels were then forced to attack the rim, and they struggled to finish against the Knights size.

Leading 48-16 at the half, the Knights slowed the pace down and continued to work it inside, not settling for long jump shots. Kingsland was able to ride it out to a 72-47 victory.
