Lyle-Pacelli went on a 24-4 run late in the second half to push themselves past Kingsland in the Section 1A Quarterfinals at the Mayo Civic Auditorium, 77-44.

The Knights attacked the rim well and were relentless on the glass, but they couldn't overcome the 41-point effort from L/P's Kristi Fett. L/P was great in the paint and used their 6'5'' center well to help extend their lead in the first half.

The Knights trailed 19-8 out of the gate and struggled to find their offense. The high-paced action early was entertaining, but the Knight struggled to make some shots after breaking the pressure set by L/P, who is the number one ranked team in Class A.

L/P led at the break 40-21, but the Knights came storming out in the second half, cutting the lead down quickly to 42-29. L/P bounced back and was able to extend their lead and eventually going on the 24-4 run to get the win.

The Knights played tough, fighting till the end, but the performance from Fett was just too much. Lauren Buchholtz finished with a team-high 17 points, while Kori Krugel chipped in 16 points.

The Knights finished their season 14-14, while L/P advances to take on Grand Meadow on Saturday at 11 am at the Mayo Civic Auditorium.
