Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - An Iowa teenager has admitted taking part in a huge vandalism case in Rochester earlier this year, one of the largest in city history.

Pleading guilty in Olmsted County juvenile court was 18-year-old Kristopher Hanley of Cresco.

The vandalism at the Red 44 housing project near Apache Mall in March was very extensive, resulting in damage reported at more than $250,000.

Police eventually identified four Iowa teenagers as the suspected vandals and two were charged. The other suspect charged in the case was Tyler Dozark of Cresco. He is scheduled for a pre-trial hearing in January. Dozark is also 18-years-old.  Both teens were 17 at the time of the vandalism.

Their son’s age proved to be a big relief for Hanley’s parents. Under state law, the parents are only responsible for a maximum of $5,000 restitution.
