Most schools are excited to welcome back their students for another year. Iowa State University just decided to be honest about it.

In all seriousness, binge drinking in college is increasing and it's totally right for ISU to bring some attention to it. The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism explains, "About 1 in 4 college students report academic consequences of drinking, including missing class, falling behind in class, doing poorly on exams or papers, and receiving lower grades overall."

Nobody wants to be that guy still in college at 35. No one needs an injury (or worse) in connection to drinking either - no matter what age.

As the kids make their way back to school, remember to have this conversation with them.
