Even though you are banking on winning that 5k from us, let's say you don't and that vacation to Ireland get's put on hold. How about a stay-cation instead? If you are looking to keep close to home this summer Minnesota has one of the cheapest stay-cation destinations and one of the most expensive. And they are both just a few miles apart!

Wallethub.com ranked the best and worst cities for a staycation and Minneapolis came in at #12. WalletHub compared more than 180 cities based on 40 key indicators of a fun-filled yet wallet-friendly staycation. The downside is on the East side of the Mississippi. St. Paul came in at #122 and 2nd to the bottom in the rest and relaxation category.

So what city came in number one for a staycation? It really isn't a surprise as it's minutes from the Magic Kingdom, it was Orlando, Florida. The least friendly staycation city according to Wallethub? Oxnard, CA.

Debbie MacInnis a professor of marketing at USC has this tip for staycation-ers, no matter where you go, plan for it. Have an idea of activities and amenities that you might be interested in doing, rather than going in blindly.
