Here's the situation. You're driving along and all of a sudden you see the dreaded "flashing lights" in the rearview mirror. Now what? We all know to pull over, but what next?

Do we open the door? Turn on the dome lights? Start digging in the glove box for the insurance and registration? The answers, according to Olmsted County Sheriff Kevin Torgerson are no, sure and no.

In this video, he talks about the best to handle things when you've been stopped by law enforcement.

He did say to NOT start digging into your glove box for the paperwork. If it's still there, wait for the officer to get there, let him know where it is and then open the glove box so he can see what you're doing.
