Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Storm cells that rumbled through southeast Minnesota Sunday night produced 1 - 2 inch hail in some areas.

The National Weather Service says two inch hail was reported in Dodge Center. A report of hail about an inch and a half in diameter came from northwest Rochester.

Other reports of hail came from the Byron and Kasson areas, as well as Plainview, Lake City, Hayfield, Hammond and Austin.

No hail was reported at the Rochester airport. The rainfall total at the airport from the storm cells was just over half an inch before midnight. That has raised the year-to-date  precipitation total to nearly 8 inches, about 3 ½ inches above normal.

There is a chance for more rain Monday night/Tuesday morning that could be mixed with snow.
