I was watching the Minnesota Golden Gophers take on the Wisconsin Badgers, and it was all too familiar. Even with a 17-7 lead, I still was uncomfortable as the Gophers and Badgers headed into halftime.

Boy, my feeling was right.

The Badgers outscored the Gophers 24-0 in the second half, and it didn't help that Mitch Leidner threw four second-half interceptions.

It marks 13-straight victories for the Badgers in the so called rivalry, but if the Gophers can't win a game, is it really a rivalry?

I was in the fourth grade the last time the Gophers beat the Badgers and it came on a field goal off the foot of Rhys Lloyd, who kicked at Rochester Community and Technical College.

That was way too long ago.

The Gophers held a first-half lead in all four of their losses this season, and it doesn't seem to getting any better. The Gophers just can't find a way to hold a lead after halftime. Hopefully their bowl game goes much, much better.

What do you think of the Gophers season so far?
