Last night, we wrapped up the regular season in high school football. Yes, already!  We took advantage of having two stations, as we again spread out to two locations. Cool 104 broadcasted the football game between St. Charles and Cotter in Winona.  The Saints finished the regular season with their second straight win by a 49-14.

The "Player of the Game" awards went to Noah Nachtigal of the Ramblers, and Ryan McCormick of the Saints.

The "Game Ball" was awarded to Nolan Boice of St. Charles.

KFIL had one of the biggest marquee matchups you could have in the regular season, with #1 Grand Meadow visiting #2 Spring Grove in 9-man football. There were fans, and media all over the place! The game more than lived up to the hype. Every score GM put on the board was answered by SG. However, the third time around, the Lions missed the extra point kick, and that was the difference as the Superlarks won their 30th straight game. Final score was 21-20.

The "Player of the Game" awards went to Chase Grinde and Dylan Kampschroer of the Lions, and Christopher Bain of the Superlarks.

The "Game Ball" was awarded to Michael Stejskal of Grand Meadow.

The football playoff brackets are out! We will select our broadcasts for the first round Monday morning. Playoffs begin Wednesday, and we'll have coverage on both KFIL & Cool 104! You can view the brackets here: http://mshsl.org/mshsl/activitypage.asp?actnum=406.

Next week, volleyball on KFIL Monday with Rushford-Peterson at Kingsland. Tuesday volleyball with Fillmore Central at Southland on Cool 104, and St. Charles at Caledonia on KFIL. All set for a 7pm pregame show, and also available online or on the RadioPup app!
