It was a beautiful Saturday morning in Preston, and baseball was on the air on Cool 104! The Fillmore Central/Lanesboro Falcons used a six-run second inning and a seven-run fourth inning to defeat the Houston Hurricanes 16-0.

The Falcons took a 1-0 lead into the second, and in the second the game was busted open when Cole Schwichtenberg hit a two-run triple to give the Falcons a 4-0 lead. Collin Scott followed with a double, and Riley Means followed with a single and eventually came home to score to make the score 7-0 after two innings of play.

FC/L added two more in the third, and then the Hurricanes started to threaten in the fourth.

Alex Alfson reached via an error, and the Damon Carrier reached on a hit by pitch. Then, with runners on the corners, relief pitcher Carson Schwichtenberg came up big and shut down the Hurricanes threat to keep the score 9-0.

The Falcons put up another seven runs in the fourth. It started after a walk to Sam Rustad, and then the next seven Falcon hitters reached safely to extend the lead and make the score 16-0.
