The Minnesota Twins' 'Ace' of staff and power-hitting third baseman were selected to the 2017 MLB All-Star Game on July 11th in Miami, to represent the American League.

It is the first All-Star Game for Miguel Sano, who leads the Twins with 20 homers and 58 RBI, although his average has dipped to below the .270 mark, Sano has been a huge reason why the Twins are in contention for the AL Central crown at this point in the season. He has come up clutch multiple times, and continues to be a solid all-around player. Sano was leading the fan vote for the starting spot, but the Indians Jose Ramirez beat him out at the end.

Ervin Santana last made an All-Star Game in 2008, but he is finally on his way back after waiting nine years for the opportunity. With a 10-5 record and 3.07 ERA, Santana has proven to be the top of the rotation for the Twins. At the start of the season, it seemed as though the Twins were never going to lose if Santana was on the mound. Yes, he has been a little shaky as of late, but there is no doubt that his numbers are "All-Star" caliber.

Sano will also participate in the Home Run Derby, which is going to be awesome because he absolutely demolishes the baseball.

It is great to see a couple Twins in the All-Star Game, and it should be a fun one to watch in Miami on July 11th!
