Hader, MN (KROC-AM News) -One one person was killed in a car-semi crash on Highway 52 in Goodhue County Friday evening.

The Minnesota State Patrol today identified the victim as 22-year-old Cody Squier of St. Ansgar, Iowa. He was a passenger in a car driven by another 22-year-old St. Ansgar man that collided with a semi-truck at the junction of Highway 52 and Highway 57 at Hader, which is about 5 miles north of Zumbrota.

The State Patrol says Jacob Nelson was attempting to cross Highway 52 from the west and reached the median, but then failed to yield for the northbound truck. The crash was reported shortly before 7 p.m.

Nelson was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, while the driver of the truck, 54-year-old Christopher Small of Coon Rapids, was not hurt.
