Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The planned demolition of the Days Inn building in downtown Rochester is scheduled to take place this weekend.

The demolition was scheduled two weekends ago but was delayed because of the winter storm that hit the city.

The city Public Works Dept. says the work will require the closing of sections of Center St and 1st Ave in the immediate area. The department says the intersection of Center Street and 1st Avenue will remain open to traffic wishing to travel to the west and south. The department also says access to the Center Street Ramp will remain open from Broadway Avenue.
