Happy Saturday!  In 1962, Lester Flatt and Earl  Scruggs recorded the infamous "The Ballad of Jed Clampett", the theme song of "The Beverly Hillbillies".
Clint Black earned his first gold album in 1989 for "Killin' Time".  And in 1991, Mark Chesnutt earned his first gold album for "Too Cold At Home".
Looking at the Billboard country singles chart, in 1991, the #1 song was Joe Diffie and "Third Rock From the Sun".  That #1 spot was held in 2005 by Sara Evans and "A Real Fine Place To Start".
Finally, in 2014 Jason Aldean became engaged to his honey Brittany Kerr at the San Diego Zoo.
