In 1939, Gene Autry's signature song, "Back In The Saddle Again", was released by Vocalion.

The #1 Billboard country single in 1979 was "Just Good Ol' Boys" performed by Moe Bandy and Joe Stampley.

And in 1985, Willie Nelson sponsored the first Farm Aid concert in Champaign, Illinois.  Performers included B.B. King, Waylon Jennings, George Jones, Bob Dylan and Roger Miller.
